About SHITAKUNAI
SHITAKUNAI is Japanese for “I don't want to do it.”
Which is roughly how a lot of life's annoying little obligations begin.
You need a Halloween costume. You forgot a gift. Someone invited you to something that apparently requires preparation.
You could spend two hours researching every possible option.
We'd rather not.
SHITAKUNAI looks for the simplest reasonable way to get these things handled — with less effort, less time, less money and fewer decisions.
Sometimes that means buying something. Sometimes it means using what you already have. And sometimes the answer is simply: you don't need to do nearly as much as you thought.
Our basic rule
Use what you have.
Add one thing if necessary.
Upgrade only when it matters.
Stop when the problem is solved.
We call that the SHITAKUNAI Rule.
We're not trying to give you the biggest list of options on the internet.
We're trying to help you close the tab.
